I run Gentoo. Debian is not for lesbians as it got the
system
D.
What is
an dragon ball z girl
? How does one become one?

I run gentoo too too!
Is it your daily machine? My daily runs
arch openrc
and I'd like to jump ship but this forsaken laptop has 2 (two!) graphics cards so I can't migrate operating systems easily

gentoo is difficult to get into; I didn't think anyone else _actually_ ran it!
I imagine that bulma is an dragon ball z girl, but I can't think of any other examples

Yes, I run Funtoo on a daily basis, and I have Gentoo on one of my personal servers.
"If it works, don't break it." Sometimes switching system can take more effort than it's worth it.
Or you could turn your local system into Gentoo, that could be an interesting experience.

Gentoo family of systems is not that difficult to get into. I personally find it really easy, especially given the great documentation.

Do you find your server's performance affected by upgrading software through portage?
My box always slows down a good deal
it's because I keep wayland on here
I'm removing it because that box has no business running a graphical environment, the more I think about it

Is anybody ready for wayland to become the default display server for Linux distributions? Fedora is already there, Debian/Ubuntu is already including it in their default install along with X. Although a lot of WMs and DEs are lagging behind on adoption, it could mean a lot for the performance of Linux on both low budget machines and high budget GAYMING rigs.

I hope Wayland compositor development speeds up. I used sway for some time because it was the most-developed tiling compositor at the time, but its dependence on the ever-so tedious wlc library turned me off

I like being

I would legitimately use wayland on my main if it had xsnow

No, I don't update them often, only if there are security updates, or as dependencies.
I might setup a binhost on some machine, that could work in low priority, when otherwise the server doesn't do much.
Graphical environments on servers is heresy.
Especially on UNIX and Linux machines.

It sucks, last time I checked. It had no real support, and everything ran through X compatibility layer or so.
Modulatiry of Linux is its advantage, but will also be the nail of its coffin.
Hopefully soon.
Linux never had and never will have chance to be competitive on desktops.
