What are your favorite foods gang? I've been eating the same few foods a lot lately and am starting to go crazy. As tasty as it is, oatmeal with yogurt and blueberry jam can't substitute for all of my dietary needs.
Post recipes, complain about the logistics of cooking, or talk shit about campus food.

If you want to be healthy, get some onions carrots and chickpeas, cook it with curry paste and eat with basmati rice. If you want to eat super unhealthy, cook boxed mac and cheese, put it in an oven dish, put crushed hot cheetos on top, cook for 20 minutes at 350.

I like the first recipe a lot better. Where do you acquire curry paste cheap?

I get patak's curry paste, you can find it in the international section of most grocery stores. Also, if you want to add some more spice, add some lemon and valentina hot sauce to the veggies when they're cooking. Also, adding butter to the veggies would help it taste better, but if you want to make it vegan use coconut oil.

now boarding, carb central!

I have been doing a lot of meal-prep because I chiefly don't have time during the week to cook decent meals. A lot of the time I make dinner for the week on Sunday afternoon and it lasts until Thurs. or so.
Breakfast is a lot more versatile because I'm up early so I can make a breakfast bowl (crumbled turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, wilted baby spinach, cheese or any combination of other things) or some oatmeal if I'm in a rush.
I used to experiment w/ Japanese foods but I just can't get the ingredients for as cheap as I'd like; fun once in a while though

Veg. quiche is fucking killer. You can nix the crust if that intimidates you (frittata?), but with a simple array of veggies (mushrooms, onion, spinach), you can get something fantastic pretty easy. Your oven needs to function, though.

I think i need to try and make quiche then. I struggle with eating eggs at times, but so far I've been able to enjoy quiche with few issues. I also really like foods that are in of themselves a complete meal that is healthy and tasty. Worrying about sides is my least favorite thing.
