In the midst of such dark times as these, it is often good to remember the good things in life as it is and in the future.
Tell us of your hopes and dreams for the future, tell us of the things that make you happy right now.

there is no good in life
death is all around us and suffering is inevitable
I am incompetent in my field and all of my colleagues know it
I'll probably end up as some second rate high school teacher

ice cream regularly gives me injections of happiness
too bad I'm intolerant

Inevitably of suffering does not prevent a happy life! If you can convince yourself there is inherent value to suffering/manage to enjoy your suffering, there's no world too grim!

Incompetence in your field isn't nearly so important as your ability to be happy beyond your career. And for the record, second-rate high school teachers are some of the most beloved of all people.

There's a million ways to smile beyond a successful career. If you get to bogged down worrying about your work performance, you won't get to enjoy the other cool things.

Believe in ice cream and believe in yourself. Just because you can't properly digest dairy doesn't mean you can't enjoy ice cream. By a massive leap in logic, the same thing applies to your work. Just because you aren't exceptional doesn't mean you can't enjoy it!

I enjoy hot drinks on cold days
I'm always looking forward to the things I haven't yet gotten to do, and trying my best to get there; don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something that you feel so strongly about

That said, I feel worthless and ineffective on my best days and most of my hobbies feel like a waste of time.

I doubt there's really a cure for that and I'm definitely not looking for one; it feels good to talk about it sometimes though
