What's /ncsu/ doing for winter break?
The same thing I always do, /ncsu/, try to hang out with family and friends.Normally that includes a girlfriend, too, but due to a recent breakup, it no longer does.>>6576I'm in Durham, so pretty much the same as what there is to do here. We like to play games (video/board/tabletop) and just kind of hang out. We're not really the going out type too much. I might try to convince them to go to Boxcar or King's, but I don't really have the money to go out somewhere like that :/>>6580If student tickets are stupid cheap, I may go see the Nucracker, then. It's been years since I saw it last and I really enjoy watching it with family around Christmas time.
>>6575my friends are never doing anythingmakes for a very uninteresting time~Is there anything interesting to do w/ friends where you are?
Play a lot of board games I assume
>>6575King's is a very nice place. A lot of very good acts roll through there The N.C. Symphony always plays some nice music around break and they have hella student discountsThe Carolina Ballet puts on Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker every year around this time too at the Duke Performing Arts Center downtown, which is in the same building as the symphony. Student tickets are also silly cheap
since only people 50+ want to go
That's through the 10th, and then they move to the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium to play until the 24thThat said, I'm playing DDR every chance I get so I'm at the Boxcar pretty often instead of at the symphony or King's.>>6581Opening time (~4 o'clock on the weekdays and noon on weekends) is usually not crowdedUnless there's some kind of downtown festival going on
>>6580Boxcar is so heckin crowdedany possible enjoyment I could have outweighed by the fact that when I'm there I can't move two feet
>>6574goin to california with my gf to visit her family
i need to get me one of them talking book files for my 10 hr drive home. luckily my car has an sd card slot
