hows everyone doing tonight?
Having a blast organizing mediadanbooru is having troubles so I cannot post extra lewd todaynvm, it seems to be back up for the nightthey've been having interesting problems with a spam bot recentlyhttps://danbooru.donmai.us/forum_topics/14440>>5198I'm really not sure what benefit comes from spamming Danbooru; it's a real disservice to the people that use danbooruthen again, the site has been up for a very, very, very long time. Since 2005 I think>whats organizing media?Organizing my computer. When I torrent things, everything scatters all over the place. Chiefly, I'm never sure exactly which directories I have saved to my main storage (so I can delete them from the seedbox) and which directories need to stay, because they're currently seedingOh, 21st century tragedy! How's your week gone?
>>5197Who would be spamming danbooru?whats organizing media?I remember it having troubles about 10 days agoThat makes me wonder how old my danbooru account is.2009, damn thats almost 10 years nowI usually just save everything to my desktop and the random folders that are on there.Things are organized in the way that tree branches are organized.Weeks been pretty good, reading too much metaphyics and not enough differential equations!Watching Richard II right now
>>5197Ah, and how has your week been?
>>5200lots of fun! Even though I had an exam today, I started studying early so that I still got to have // some time to do other things as well>>5202 computer stuffI should really take a break and watch dragon ball z or // fucking a n i m e instead of doing serious work when I have the time
>>5201Whatcha been up to?Dont burn yourself out, its not good for you, trust me.Watching anything good? Or anything good worth watching?
>>5202>Dont burn yourself outI'm becoming more aware of this everyday; keeping a good watch out but desu next week I'm not working on computer things so that'll be a big relief>Watching anything good?Puripuri chii-chan is the only thing I'm watching right nowIt's a kid's show>>>/watch?v=IlzwThCsIe8There are no subtitles for this anywhere; it's a good show to learn from because it's not difficult in any capacity, and the episodes are so entertaining>>5204 working is no fun!I tried to learn Cryillic once but I never stuck with it. Sometimes it's hard to form a study habit if there's nothing really motivating youDo you get to practice Russian often? Along with writing, speaking is probably the fastest way to cement a languageWhen I was starting to learn Japanese I'd put together sentences in my head all day and write them down sometimes in lecture notes or something, but I never made a point to look for people to talk to.Now I just read stuff on sadpanda>>5204>don't have the timefuck I hate this. It's so so so frustrating to have the motivation and energy to do something but only to lack the daylightI made a promise once to myself to not spread myself too thin across a lot of things, or be a dilettante or w/e but fuck I'm focusing on only one-or-two things now and it still seems to be so hard to squeeze it between full-time academics and w/e else comes with existing in the 21st century
>>5203Next week is fall break, and im working :^)That looks fun, good kids shows are hard to come by for foreign languages. Masha and The Bear is fun for Russian. It can be fun, but I enjoy sleep too much to.Cyrillic isnt too bad once you accept that they are different sounds with the same letters.I dont get to practice often, not at all really, I just try to listen to songs and keep my ears open to the different sounds and intonations.I dont have the time at the moment to study a language with the time necessary to give it due diligence.Right now, Im also trying to learn roots and ways that things are conjugated in German and RussianIronic isnt it? So much extra power to learn about things and shorten the time to do it, only to want to learn about more.No wonder normies just ignore it all, how could they not?Heres a million and one distractions and new things for the world, but dont be distracted by them, ha!I just want to farm and learn the old ways, the internet can go to hell for all im concerned.
>>5204I guess the up-side of information saturation is that it's easier for people who recognize just how many distractions there are to avoid themThe down-side is that not many people recognize thatdesu the internet is shit // desu improves to desufucking//I do not like the internet; the nice part about is that I can choose to not involve myself in the communities I don't likeand as much as it concerns me that the internet has become a community-disguised-as-a-marketing-platform it just makes it easier for me to avoid itso I'm thankful for that much at least~
>>5205I guess we can thank ourselves partially for the redditization of the internet. But it still worries me over what will happen because of it, just because something is possible does not mean that it should be done. The American Hyper-Capitalist model was a mistake.
>>5205You doing anything tomorrow? Want to hang out?
>>5207hmm, I'm free in the evening; maybe we could meet at the cup a joe on Hillsborough. I'll have to see when I get up tomorrow
>>5208Sounds good, if youre busy youre busy, no worries.Hit me up whenever.
I'm free any time
>>5214ello.lookin for the bus to campus right now.Not sure, anywhere on campus I guess, once I can find the bus, it aint showing Hell, ill just walk lel.fuck the busill be at the brickyard in about 30 mins, give or take 5
>>5215where did you want to meet up?fuck the bus>>5215 I'll see you there!

sometimes math is easy & sometimes it is hard~I can only really work with the math that I can understand the foundations of, or that I throughly have worked withthe calculus is a good example of math I am comfortable with
>>5303I'm not sure how a lot of engineers like the civil people are able to get through their mathsIs there a "Euclid's Elements" for algebra? The Elements is the only book I'm familiar with that is a dead-straight fundamental read for its mathematical field
>>5307What kind of algebra?
>>5308
>>5308algebra that's closer to number theory, rather than the algebra that's applied to a [cartesian] planeI'm aware of peano's axioms, but those // I'm not sure if there's a definitive text on it; I'm not too worried about reading it though, because there's a lot of other cool things I can learn about in the mean-time
>>5310arithmetic number theory or algebraic number theory?tell me what you know, that stuff is fascinating.
>>5311I did not see you at the chass student council meeting! It was very short
>>5360I completely forgot. Lol, fuck
Hows it hangin?
HW succs but I guess it's better nao than neveror rather, tomorrow night>>5460It's a mathematics class about circuits. So we're doing things like calculating the outputs of interesting circuits given various classes of inputs, like voltage impulses, sinusodial waves, and everything in betweenIt is very exciting but we never really stop to consider the mathematics because it's really an applications class, so it does get very matter-of-fact and monotonoushow have you been?
>>5458What kind of homework? And fuck doing homework on sunday, thats never fun.Sounds monotonous. >>5458Been pretty good, had an action packed week of work. Things are winding down for a little bit, but Ive got some other guy's paper to edit and
articles/research to write
Doesnt electronics math get magical pretty quickly? I know that the smith chart is some quotient of mobius spaces or some shit.
>>5460The smith chart is magic; I'm not sure what undergrad courses teach it here since it's a RF engineer kind of thing
>>5462It looks like a laser bouncing around down a tube.I had a buddy who was an electric engineer, called everything magic smoke, theres magic smoke in there that makes it go lol
oogie boogiei want to do halloween or art things but i'm too sick and the day is too short
>>5493draw a sexy pumpkin womandone
Hows everyone doing?
>>5556future posting is against time law
>>5557this place's time just keeps getting worseI think it's 5 minutes off
