~This thread is for toobee's math lessons.2B is rlly good at math because she is an android, and androids can do math really fast
Today's lesson is on Euler's identity, and a very interesting result of it.
Hooray for euler!
As a preview of the next lesson, here is a sneek peek of what happens when you fiddle around with real numbers inside of a logarithm! You might be thinking "oh, that's just using imaginary numbers, that's cheating!" (which it really isn't, but that's a discussion for later)This shows that the arctangent function and the logarithm function are very closely related.

Busy with homework and exams. Here are some math related gifs in the meantime.
>>2475>this is from a /sci/ thread
Did you know that it is not possible to divide a square into an odd number of equal-area triangles?I went to a talk on-campus about this and it sounds really novel but it was proven a long time ago in 1970Here is a very accessible explanation of the proof of Monsky's theoremhttps://math.osu.edu/sites/math.osu.edu/files/ferre_MonskyThm_2016.pdf

>>1837who is /sci/ here?
>>2759/sci/ is a really scary and slow board. A lot of people way smarter than me talking about things I don't get.
>>2844thats what makes it fun, Im not sure where the math general went though.
>>2759>>2844Wanting to understand what /sci/ was talking about made me learn calc and diff eq when I was a sophmore in high schoolI think jumping into a set of subjects that are too hard to understand for you at the moment is a healthy thing to do, because it forces you to not be complacent with where you're at right now//wish I could have made that sentence less wordy
