You might be thinking "oh, that's just using imaginary numbers, that's cheating!" (which it really isn't, but that's a discussion for later)
This shows that the arctangent function and the logarithm function are very closely related.

Did you know that it is not possible to divide a square into an odd number of equal-area triangles?

I went to a talk on-campus about this and it sounds really novel but it was proven a long time ago in 1970

Wanting to understand what /sci/ was talking about made me learn calc and diff eq when I was a sophmore in high school
I think jumping into a set of subjects that are too hard to understand for you at the moment is a healthy thing to do, because it forces you to not be complacent with where you're at right now
