Merry Howlermas!

What's everyone up to this week? I'm enjoying the wine I got from secret santa while watching Crazy Love (which was recommended to me as a Chinese Romance but seems to be just some softcore lol).

Christmas Eve and Day I spend with the fam.

Also I know some of you weebs have been to Japan. In March I'll have 4 nights in HK and 6 nights in Tokyo. Any stand out things I should do other than the usual tourist fare?

  • Go to a maid cafe in Akihabara you won't regret it
  • Don Quixote
  • Ramen shops (I was gonna rec. one but tbh there are so many good ones, just walk into any one that doesn't look like a chain)
  • Ueno park
  • Club Mogra on a weekend (if you're a weeb)
  • Literally any FamilyMart
  • Literally any Yoshinoya (order the OMORI NEGIDAKU; SINCE I'M A REGULAR OF YOSHINOYA, I'M IN A POSITION TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE LATEST CRAZE AMONG REGULARS IS OMORI NEGIDAKU. THIS IS IT. OMORI NEGIDAKU. THIS IS THE REGULAR'S WAY. AN OMORI NEGIDAKU HAS A LOT OF ONIONS IN IT.

YOU GET MORE ONIONS IN PLACE OF LESS BEEF. THIS IS HOW. SO GET AN OMORI NEGIDAKU WITH AN EGG. (6) THIS IS THE BEST. HOWEVER, IT COMES WITH A PRICE. THE NEXT TIME YOU ORDER IT, THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THE EMPLOYEES WILL MARK YOU UP FOR IT. IT'S A DOUBLE-EDGED BLADE.
THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR AMATEURS.

Also look to see if there are any festivals when you are there, the food is amazing

Thanks for the advice. I'm visiting friends who teach English there. They're antiweebs so I might have to sneak away for the maid cafe.

Also this year I'm single and 25 on Christmas. I'm a Christmas cake.

There's still time! No one wants a Christmas Cake after the 25th, on the 25th it's still good! Try accosting random strangers with absurd desires (will you help me draw a chinchilla?) and take it from there!

How do normal people find relationships? I doubt they do that.

I've tried my department, dating apps, and through friends. Dating is painful.

I agree normals probably don't do that, but I like rom-coms.

My current gf (I love her so much) was met at a scholarship event when I gave her and others a ride. Afterwards she asked if anyone was hungry and I was the only one that was down to go eat something. We then picked up a third person on the way and just had a good time. Proceeded to hang out with her more and more after that, grew mutual feelings and then she made a move on me (which still embarrasses me a little).

My grandfather once said to my brother that before he and my grandmother began dating, they became friends. Going from strangers to a couple was not the way to do it in his eyes and I think I stand with him there.

I met my gf on several occasions before we started dating. I just found an interesting person with a powerful personality with whom I wanted to spend time and whom I wanted to get to know. Then she showed me the beauty of living; I feel blessed.

The light has gone out of my life.
