in their defense, I think they’re good for first dates specifically because it’s a really chill environment. For later dates I think you’re right, but I prefer when first dates are more chill

Drinks can be more intimidating due to the existent rate of date-rape especially in relation to alcohol. Museum and activity really take the focus away from finding out if you're compatible. It may be intimidating for some shy people to just sit and chat with a cute someone, but you have to be able to talk to each other if you want it to go anywhere, right? While it may be boring (>>10219) after you are already in a relationship with the person, shouldn't spending time learning about someone you may care for be engaging enough?
